How the numbers are kept honest.

  • Every number has a source. Prices are the starting prices on the developer's price list; recorded sales, the price index and supply come from NAPIC; developer licences and project progress come from KPKT.
  • Walking times are either measured along an OpenStreetMap walking route or estimated from the straight-line distance, and each page says which.
  • Maintenance fees are shown as the developer states them; where the developer adds a 10% sinking fund, the page shows the fee with the 10% included.
  • Each project page shows the date it was last checked at the top.

Who runs the site.

Property Portal is run by Yee Woei Shyan, a registered real estate negotiator (REN 46305) with IQI Realty Sdn Bhd, working on new launches in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor and Penang.
